2010년 Korean harvest Festival이 뉴욕 맨하탄 Randall's Island Park에서 성대히 열렸다.
미주지역에서 연주활동이 활발한 뉴욕 째즈 오케스트라의 무대가 훼스티벌의 무드를 한층 돋구워주었다.
한사람 한사람 개인기가 출중한 연주단원들의 구성은 마에스트로의 테너섹스폰연주를 비롯하여
앨토섹스폰, 테너섹스폰, 바리톤섹스폰연주자로 구성된 스트롱한 섹스폰 파트가 눈에 뜨였고,
트렘펫, 트럼본의 조화로운 화음으로 훌륭한 브라스파트가 한몫을 담당했다.
아울러 키보드와 피아노, 베이스기타, 리듬기타, 드럼등 의 열정적인 무대였다.
음악과 낭만의 계절, 가을에 아름다운 선율로서 관중들의 마음을 사로잡는 빅 이벤트였음이 분명하다.
The NYKJO (NEW YORK KOREAN JAZZ ORCHESTRA) is a New York based jazz and pops orchestra that was formed in 2007 with Korean professional musicians.
For the most part it has a standard-sized big band, comprising trumpets, trombones, saxophones and a rhythm section of piano (doubling keyboards), guitar, double bass (doubling bass guitar), drums and percussion (including vibes and Latin instruments). For various projects the band has regular augmentation with additional instruments or downsize to small groups of instruments.
The orchestra has since expanded its repertoire to include jazz, pop, latin music and Korean pops.
Almost all of the band's charts have been transcribed or arranged by the NYKJO musicians.
The band performs regularly at concerts, weddings, parties, fundraisers, dances and
Korean American events throughout the US and South Korea.
We are the first Korean-American group (team, organization..etc) of jazz musicians in New York,
a famous city in US and the birthplace of jazz.
Our mission is to perform a wide range of standard jazz repertoires
that is popular and familiar to audiences of all ages. Being the first Korean-American jazz orchestra in US,
we wish to help Korean community develop and grow.

현재 NYKJO의 단장님이신 박성민씨는 한국에서 경희대학교를 클라리넷으로 졸업 하셨고
지금은 클라리넷과 색소폰을 함께 연주 하십니다.
뉴욕과 뉴저지에서 각종 한인 행사를 맡아서 하고 계시고 지금은 NYKJO에서 지휘를 맡고 계십니다.
18명의 연주자들은 작사,작곡,편곡 능력을 갖춘 실력있는 뮤지션들로 이루어져있습니다.
다양한 공연과 이벤트에 최고의 음악을 연주해오고 있는 NYKJO는
언제나 감동적이고 아름다운 공연을 해오고있습니다.
