울금은 카레의 주성분이며, 한약재로 알려진 ‘커큐민’이 다량 함유되어 있어
기를 소통시키고 간장 해독, 이뇨, 항궤양, 혈중콜레스테롤 억제 등 효험이 있다.
또한 식물성 웅담으로 불리며, 항암 효과, 노화방지, 간기능 향상, 어혈을 풀어주고,

울금은 생강과 식물로서 땅 속에 굵은 뿌리줄기가 있으며,
지름 3∼4㎝이고, 표면에는 바퀴모양으로 마디가 있다.

다자란 높이가 1~1.5m 가량이고 11월중에 수확하며 카레의 원료로도 사용됨

-생울금
껍질을 벗겨 씹어 먹거나 채 썰어 다른 음식과 곁들여 먹어도 좋습니다

-울금생즙
녹즙기로 약10g내외의 울금을 케일 또는 돗나물이나
녹색채소 혹은 과일과 같이 내려 식후에 한 컵씩 마십니다.

-울 금 차
슬라이스 해서 생울금 1:1 꿀 또는 설탕과 혼합하여 3~4일후에
차 스푼으로 2~3스푼을 넣어 끓여 마시면 좋은 울금 차가 됩니다

-울금건조차
2L 끓는 물에 5g정도 넣어 보리차 처럼 두고 마시면 좋습니다

-울 금 주
생울금 세척 한 후 잘게 자른 후 생 울금 500g 소주 1.8리터
설탕 50g과 혼합한 다음 3개월 이상 숙성 후 마시면 좋은 울금주가 됩니다.

-울금분말
물에 희석해서 마셔도 되고 두유, 우유 반잔이나 요구르트, 요플레에
한 스푼 씩 타서 마시고 하루 10g내외를 3번에 나누어 먹습니다.

- 임산부는 울금을 삼가하세요(자궁수축)
- 정해진 양만, 1일 10g초과 금합니다.
- 공복 시 울금을 삼가하고 가급적 식후에 먹고 위가 약하신 분은
1일 울금 량을 5g이내 먹다가 양을 늘려 가세요

- 체질에 따라 울금 량을 정해진 양 안에서 증감하시기 바랍니다
