Atlantic City. Take the Academy bus from Port Authority. They have buses running all day. Each departure goes to a different casino, so consult the schedule. The casino's each give you back different amounts of money, but most give you at least the $20 you spent on the bus ticket plus food coupons. Atlantic City is getting a facelift. They have many new gourmet restaurants and good shops, especially The Quarter at Tropicana. In the summer most of the casino's have bars set up out on the boardwalk and most of them offer live music. For families the Famous Steel Pier is open down by the Trump Taj Mahal. The bus does not ask for a specific return time, so you can stay for a few hours or a few days.
